Ingredients for bean pudding

For the bean pudding we need: a tablespoon olive oil, a onions, finely chopped, 3 cloves garlic, crushed, 3 cans of 400 g beans (beans with large grain), 5 tablespoons cream, 2 tablespoons chopped thyme (fresh or dried), 100 g breadcrumbs, 50 g g grated cheese, ceddar type (we can also use parmesan), salt,pepper.

Preparation mode

Heat the oil in a pan and heat the onion for 5 minutes. Add the garlic and leave on the heat for another minute. Put the beans, cream and half the thyme in the pan. Place with salt and pepper and leave on the heat until all ingredients are well homogenized.

Mix the grated cheese with the breadcrumbs and add the remaining thyme. In a heatproof dish we put the mixture with beans and on top of the breadcrumbs and cheese. Put the dish in the oven and leave until the surface turns golden. Serve with lettuce.

Tip. For the bean pudding we can add our favorite vegetables: peppers, carrot or peas alongside the beans. If we don’t find Ceddar cheese, we can use shaved cheese.

Prepare a Mexican feast

Spicy pie with beans. Fry the onion and garlic,as above, along with a chilli,without seeds and chopped. Add 800 g canned bean mixture, 400 g canned chopped tomatoes and 2 teaspoons chilli sauce. Put everything in a baking tray and cover with 50 g torn tortilla chips and 50 g Ceddar cheese. Leave in the oven until the cheese has melted. Have a good time!
