Flavors give the taste of food

The taste of food attracts us or not according to our preferences. The way we combine them decides whether our meals bring us energy and health or excess fat and disease. When we eat, we don’t think that different flavors that give the taste of food affect our body in different ways. Flavors give us information about the qualities of energy contained in the food.

The tongue acts as a taste organ and allows us to identify these kinds of energy. There are six tastes: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, astringent and quick. The huge variety of food makes it almost impossible to classify them. We understand, intuitively, all categories of tastes.

Each taste stimulates a specific organ

The taste of food stimulates our taste buds, gives us energy and improves our physical condition. Each type of taste stimulates a specific organ in our body. The sour taste – stimulates the liver, salty taste – stimulates the kidneys, bitter taste – stimulates the heart, sweet taste – stimulates the pancreas, the quick taste – stimulates the lungs and astringent taste – stimulates the large intestine.

Healthy people should eat foods that include all six tastes, without abusing any of them. Such a diet harmoniously stimulates the energy of our body.

Those of us who need to lose weight can do so by intelligently combining tastes at every meal. The taste universe is very interesting and vast. I will show you what the six tastes are, arouse your curiosity and show you how much more there is to learn about food.

The sweet taste energizes the whole body and stimulates weight gain. If we use sugary foods in excess, we stimulate the production of mucus and fat and reduce the body’s ability to generate heat.

When we introduce many sweet products into our daily diet we become lazy, heavy and with extra pounds. The sweet taste characterizes sugar, honey, milk, cream, wheat products, fruits, vegetables, beans, peas, nuts and sunflower seeds. Citrus fruits taste sweet sour.

The sour taste has refreshing properties, stimulates appetite, helps to retain fluids in the body, improves intellectual capacities, regulates the digestive process. Excess foods disrupt the composition of the blood, causing ulcers, skin irritation and heartburn. Too much sour in food makes us hyperactive, irritable and irascible. Kefir and various cheeses are sour or sour.

The salty taste has purifying qualities. It removes hummus, stimulates appetite, improves digestion, helps retain fluids, helps remove excess mucus and gastric juices. The ancient Greeks used to suck salt crystals after meals and spit out salt saliva.

The word“salt”is derived from a word meaning “sun”. Salty taste produces “digestive fire” in the body, stimulating the action of digestive enzymes. Salt gets into the blood along with gastric juices and circulating in the body, dissolves old, cancerous and other diseased cells without damaging healthy cells. To improve the balance in favor of young cells we need to eat salty foods from natural sources.

Bitter taste improves appetite and digestion, warms the body, stimulates fluid removal, cleanses the body and dilutes blood. Eating bitter-tasting foods helps to cleanse the body and lose weight. Excess bitter-tasting foods cause loss of powers, stimulate anxiety and fear. Roasted seeds, lemon zest, cucumbers and other vegetables have this bitter taste.

The astringent taste has drying properties. Helps heal wounds, drying pus and blood, improving the appearance of the skin. Green leafy vegetables, pears, cabbage, potatoes are examples of foods with astringent taste.

The quick taste, normalizes the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract and improves appetite. The hot taste is represented by foods like: onions, garlic, chilli, radish, turnips and spices. Kefir and various cheeses taste sour or hot.

We can influence many processes that take place in our body, intelligently combining food tastes at every meal. When we are always cold, we must eat foods with bitter and sour taste. This combination causes the body to warm up and stimulates weight loss.

The combination of sour and salt produces a warming effect, but also causes fattening. The combinations of sweet and salty or sweet with sour also stimulateweight gain. In the first case fat is deposited, and in the second case, muscle mass increases.

Meals that combine bitter and astringent taste make us more energetic. They increase our mobility and improve our physical condition and are recommended for people with low blood pressure and poor circulation. The taste of food in their immense variety, is a subject that each of us faces daily. Let’s appreciate the taste of food and depending on what our body needs! Good health!
