Meditation – Eliminating toxic emotions
Meditation is one of the simplest and most handy tools to relax and eliminate toxic emotions. We are aware of the harmful effects of toxic substances and foods, toxic emotions, which produce an acceleration of degradation of the body, and accentuated aging.
Each person is able to withstand only a certain level of emotional stress. When the load is exceeded, almost everyone begins to behave inappropriately, and this manifests itself in others around. Long emotional stress also leads to psychosomatic disorders.
“Infinite flexibility and creativity are the secrets of immortality”
Ancient Vedic aphorism
When we hold resentment, hostility, or grudges in our hearts , our body’s vitality suffers.
It’s good to have a daily routine to keep fit. Morning meditation allows us to start the day with a fresh, calm mental attitude. Late afternoon, or early evening, helps refresh the mind after the day’s activity.
It is good to set aside time for ourselves to experience quiet awareness, and the reward will be immediate. We can observe relaxation during meditation, and during the day, increased energy and creativity.
We cannot control what happens around us, but we can control our own mind and reactions. Meditation helps us distance ourselves from what is happening around us and focus on our own mind. With meditation we concentrate better, sleep better, are calmer, more receptive, more creative.
Meditation means transforming our mind so that we live as well as possible. Meditation teaches us to see things from a new perspective and to better understand ourselves and others. The purpose of meditation is to help us live in the present moment and focus on the things we are doing without our minds being anywhere else.
Meditation – physical and mind relaxation
When we practice this technique, we will have countless experiences. We let go of the need to control or anticipate what happens during meditation. Any of the following experiences are indications that we are meditating correctly:
We turn our attention to our breath when we silently repeat the mantra “So Hum.”
The mind is full of dream-like thoughts, and other times we feel like we’re thinking with our eyes closed, remind yourself to turn your attention to your breath and mantra.
Practiced meditation regularly, it will calm your mind and your body will be fully relaxed.
There may be times during meditation when we will be able to fall asleep. Meditation is a gentle, natural process that helps your body relax. This is a message from our body that it needs deep rest.
So Hum Meditation
Find a comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed, close your eyes and breathe deeply through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Keep breathing gently, silently repeating, “So Hum”, inhale and exhale…
Whenever your attention drifts to thoughts in your mind, external sounds, or sensations in your body, gently return to your breath by repeating “So Hum.”
At first for a few minutes, then with a little effort continue this process for twenty minutes. When the time is up, stay quiet for a few minutes before resuming your daily activity.
“True healing involves treating the very cause of suffering. Heal people of their emotional unhappiness, allow them to be happy, and they will become healthy. ”
Dr. Edward Bach
Studies show that people who regularly live in a state of quiet consciousness experience less hypertension, heart disease, anxiety and depression. They give up habits harmful to health very easily, such as smoking, excess alcohol or medications. I encourage you to make meditation an important part of your life.
